New Community Manager: Ryan

Hey there
My name’s Ryan and I’m the new Community Manager at Udemy! I’m beyond excited to be an advocate for the instructor community!
To share a little background about myself, I came from the gaming industry with an emphasis on community experiences. I’ve worked to give audiences a voice for change and provide the best possible experience while engaging with companies. That’s why I’m here!
To open things up, I want to hear from you!
Comment below to introduce yourself and share any features/changes you think will help you succeed in Udemy.
I’m eager to hear from you!

Hi @RyanJaress
.Good luck and welcome to the community!
I've been on Udemy since 2018.
I saw the first days of this community on this platform after the migration from Facebook, when it was all quiet and empty.
I'm glad that has changed.
What will help us succeed?
Keep the positive vibes and the honest communication between us and Udemy.
Other than that, when something is on fire or needs to be improved, you will definitely hear about it

Hey there @amulia&8
,Thanks for your inquiry! Funny you mention creativity for courses because this month's theme is for Course Creation!
We do have a scheduled Coffee Chat coming up on August 19th. This will be the perfect opportunity to connect with fellow instructors and discuss course creation!
More information to come soon!

Welcome, Ryan! I've been with Udemy for years and have enjoyed it. I have a question - maybe you know the answer? In the past, you could ask Udemy for a free course graphic - they used to offer this after your course was published. Do they still do that? If so, where? Thank you and I hope your time with Udemy is pleasant and prosperous.

Hey there @Sandy_Walker
!Thank you for reaching out.
As Udemy has continued to grow, we've taken a careful look at the value of this service and decided to discontinue it. Given the size of Udemy's marketplace, the uniqueness of each course, and the logistics involved, it was determined this service is no longer feasible.
We feel confident that our course image guidelines make it simple and easy for instructors to create their own course images.
I hope this helps clarify this, and please let us know if you have any additional questions!
