We’re excited to share some big news that directly impacts all of us. We are pleased to welcome a new member to the team, Zane Vella. Zane is our new Head of Content Strategy and Instructor / Creator Ecosystem.
Zane joins us at a pivotal moment for the business, where we are exploring new content formats, new ways to engage learners and new ways to partner with our instructor community. It also comes hot on the heels of us surpassing the 250K subscriber mark for Udemy Personal Plan (a number which was originally our goal for the end of 2025).
Zane brings a strong background in both education and video/entertainment as well as a mind for business. Most recently, Zane was CEO of Sessions College, an accredited online school for art and design. He also spent six years in a leadership roles at Comcast, has nearly a dozen US patents in interactive video and media technology and has founded several companies, one of which (Watchwith) he sold to Comcast.
Most importantly, he's passionate about creating great learning experiences and nurturing long-term and strategic partnerships with our 85,000+ instructor community.
I know many of you have already reached out to Zane - please continue to do so. He is here to be your advocate and partner with you as we work together to ensure better instructor partnership models, content that matches real global demand, and innovative learning formats that blend human expertise with AI capabilities.
