Just to play with those numbers for a minute...

That means instructors have on average 2.82 courses.

On average instructors have 9,138 enrollments

I have figured that if an instructor is not giving away a ton of free courses or coupons, an enrollment is worth on average about $3. That means the average instructor may have earned around $27,000. However, given that there are many instructors who have given away tens of thousands of free coupons or courses, that number is probably closer to $20k.

Now, having computed those averages, I have to say that this is one of those cases where averages have little meaning to the average instructor because there is a wide disparity with some instructor's earning more than a million, and many earning almost nothing. But, it is still fun to look at them.
