Hello Instructor Community!

We are excited to bring you another live community event this month! On February 24th from 9:30-10:30 am PST we’ll be sitting down with the Director of SEO Marketing at Udemy, Chen Blatman, in an AMA (Ask me Anything) style interview.

During the interview, Chen will take your questions, so this is your chance to ask him any of your burning questions regarding SEO. Feel free to kick things off by adding your questions in the comments below!

We recognize that in trying to accommodate the time zones this time might not be the ideal time frame for some of you, however, a replay of the AMA will be available in the community later in the week.

    Question: How has marketing for Udemy instructors changed in the past two years since the last Udemy Live?

    Question: What can Udemy instructors do to promote their own courses, honestly? Be honest and say if the answer is "not much".

    Question: Is it possible to rank a new course on 1st page of search results if all other courses on 1st page already have 100’s - 1,000’s of reviews?


    When a new course is published it’s not found in the main search results even when optimised.
    It’s only found in the search results by using the ‘New’ courses filter.

    Question: How long does a course remain filtered as a new course and what criteria is required to have it show in the main search results?

    I was kicked out after 10 Minutes and now I cannot join. (Zoom says "The host will let you inside soon" for another 10 minutes now)

    I'm sorry to hear you guys missed our AMA with Chen! We'll certainly be posting a replay of the meeting in the community. Once we do, I'll make sure to personally tag you all.
