Hi all,

As you might have seen, there is currently an issue with the revenue report where the expected payout date for most months, including August 2022, is displaying as November 7th. We want to reassure you that August payouts are still set to be paid out today, October 7th. We expect to deliver them within the next few hours.

We're working to resolve this issue, and we apologize for any confusion or alarm it's caused. Thank you to everyone who has reported the problem!

Update (6:45 pm PT, October 7): We've encountered some additional issues in getting payment delivered. We've identified and resolved the underlying issue, and continue to work to deliver payout as soon as possible. Payout is currently expected in the early hours of Saturday, October 8th, Pacific Time.

Update (3:15 am PT, October 8): We've sent payment to accounts linked via Payoneer and direct bank transfer, and we're working to get PayPal earnings distributed as soon as possible. Please note that availability of amounts sent may depend on your payment platform's policies or your bank's hours of operation.

Update (6:30 am PT, October 8): We’ve completed sending payment for all payout methods.  If you use PayPal or Payoneer, you should see these amounts right away. If you use bank transfer, the final transference to your account may depend the hours of operation of the relevant banks. If you have questions about your particular payout, please contact Instructor Support.

Thanks for bearing with us as we worked through technical challenges to deliver your payout this month.

Hi @bsnsAtlas, thanks for letting us know! I'm sorry that you still haven't received your payment. Bank transfers may take longer than usual depending on the hours of operation of each bank. If you're using Paypal or Payoneer, could you please contact the Instructor Support team? They will be happy to assist!

@bsnsAtlasif you're in the U.S. you probably won't receive it until tomorrow because most banks are closed on Federal holidays. I haven't received mine and am not worrying because today is Columbus Day, which is a commonly observed holiday for most banks.

Financial institutions and the ACH follow the Federal Reserve System’s holiday schedule.

  • New Year’s Day
  • Martin Luther King, Jr. Day
  • Presidents’ Day
  • Memorial Day
  • Juneteenth National Independence Day
  • Independence Day
  • Labor Day
  • Columbus Day
  • Veterans Day
  • Thanksgiving Day
  • Christmas Day

What is Udemy doing to compensate everyone that was impacted by this? Are you guys giving everyone an extra 100 or 200 dollars on their payouts? Are you giving more money back on sales made? Whatever happened is a Udemy problem, that is not the instructors problem.

As big as this company is, there should be no way that you don't pay people on your platform on time. I get it, it probably never happened before, but all it takes is 1 time, and that one time will result in losing all your customers.

This is many people only source of income, this is a payout from the previous month, so that means Udemy should have had this taking care of a head of time.

Sorry doesn't cut it, and constantly saying you're sorry, means you are sorry, there should have been a better explanation than I'm sorry.

There was no mass email sent out to all instructors, there was no notification in the instructor portal to notify us of what happened. We had to search around and look for answers. That is not acceptable.

What if the shoes were on the other foot, and we owed you? You guys would have collections agencies calling our phones all day.

This is not acceptable, I have been on this platforms for years,  and I have seen many different issues that Udemy failed to address.

I am in the United States, and was expecting my direct deposit payout today, as we had a holiday yesterday.  However, my bank account still does not show a deposit today.  I clicked on the Instructor Support tab to check into my specific deposit, but that tab is not operable.  Please help!

Edit:  The deposit was just received at my bank, Wells Fargo.  🙂  Whew!  Thanks for all the help and updates from all!  I do appreciate this group.

I assume it will eventually be OK. But only one time in the past was Udemy 5 days late with a payment. So odd.

US-based Direct Deposit, and my payout is now in my account. I use PNC if that helps. I figured it would show up today and glad to see it now. Hoping everyone else gets resolved quickly.

Hi everyone,

Thanks for continuing to share your thoughts. We have posted an official response addressing some of the concerns we read here, I invite you all to take a look at the post for more details.

As mentioned in this thread, we completed sending payment for all payout methods on October 8th. The amounts should already be visible for PayPal and Payoneer users, but bank transfers may take longer depending on the banks' operating hours. We recommend contacting Instructor Support if you have questions about your particular payout.

Thank you to everyone who took the time to provide us with constructive feedback. We are collecting as much information about this incident as possible to address any other pertinent concerns.
