Hello Hello!

We’ve got some exciting news! As we try to bring more helpful and educational resources to the instructor community, one of the ideas we are considering is a monthly AMA (Ask me Anything) series.

I’m curious to know what topics and or guest speakers would you most be interested in?

This is a fantastic idea. In my company, there is one every month with 2 people rotating from the 5 member Management Board. I think it would be highly beneficial, even at a slower pace - every 2 months or every quarter.

Regarding who: my preference goes to the CEO, UfB President, Marketing VP. To be honest, I don't even know the organization, so getting to know that part as well would be interesting.

I think I can speak for everyone when I say The person who is in charge of running the udemy platform smoothly. Not sure what position that would be internally, but whoever is in charge of the team that manages technical issues at udemy.

The Trust & Safety team. I think all of us here would benefit if we had some clarity on some of the Udemy policies.

I would like to see a panel of all of the investors and ask them a handful of questions.

I’d like to hear from UfB on how/why instructors should be building courses for priority subjects while Udemy is out hand-picking instructors for those topics.  I’d like to understand the logic behind publishing priority topics if we are only being undermined by Udemy and a select number of instructors.

Ditto on CEO, UfB President, Marketing VP. Also the CFO would be helpful and category content managers.

It would be good to hear from experienced instructors, to get advice and hints.

I want to hear from the marketing team and UFB on its future growth plans.

To name a few questions:

1 - Why do instructors not get an insight into how the marketing budget is being spent? e.g Is the majority of the capital being spent on branding? the marketplace? UFB? (I think its fair we have the right to know bearing in mind a big chunk of the marketing spend has come from us losing revenue through the new revenue structure)

2 - Will the UFB course exclusivity barrier always be present?

3 - Any plans to update how courses are included in the catalog?

4  - How will UFB work alongside PersonalPlan?

etc etc

Once again, it all comes back to transparency and communication.

Hi @Francisoji048, this seems like a niche question, so I recommend creating a new post in our Studio U section so hopefully other instructors in your area can respond.

Sorry that we're unable to help you further, but let us know if we can assist with anything else.

Best of luck!
