Hello instructors!
You can now access your end-of-year tax forms via your Payout & Tax Details page. A physical form will also be mailed to you at the address you provided when you submitted your tax information.
If you're receiving Form 1099-MISC, your form should include all amounts you received from Udemy paid in 2021, as well as any tax amounts withheld from those payments.
If you're receiving Form 1042-S, your form should include only amounts you received from US sources in 2021 (such as course sales to US students), as well as any tax amounts withheld from those payments.
You will not receive a tax form if:
- You are a US instructor who filed as an S or C Corporation when you submitted your W-9 to Udemy
- You are a US instructor who did not earn more than $10 in 2021
- You are a non-US instructor who did not earn any royalties from US-based sources in 2021
If something looks incorrect on your form, please contact Instructor Support with the specific corrections requested.
