What is a good number for enrollments?

Go to solution

Hello everyone,
I have published my first course few days ago and during the first five days, 5 students have enrolled in the course. without any marketing or free coupons.

I don't know if that number is good enough or not?
what do you think of this number? is it good for starting or not?
I hope it wouldn't stop there though 🙂

should I try publishing free coupons? or maybe some kind of marketing? or hand it all to udemy?
My course is "Complete Android Course for 2019" if you want to check it

The beginnings when you do not have a community are not always easy, and that you already have students is very good! Congratulations!
The subject of your course is very good, has a lot of demand and has a good number of hours the course. As a suggestion I would analyze the title of the course since for example saying Android, one does not know if you are referring to the Android operating system or if you are going to teach how to create applications.
If you have friends, acquaintances or relatives who know that you are interested in the course, you can provide some free coupons, but it is not recommended to free coupons in social networks to people you do not know.
Marketing is always good, you can share your coupons in groups of different social networks that are for example, Android app development.
I share articles that you can find useful in the community:

Thank you @AlvaroChirou for your great reply. I have looked at the links that you have shared and I must say I have found some spots that I can improve the course already; Like promotion video and the course title.
You are right about the course title, I'm going to change it to Complete android development course for 2019 right now.
Also thanks for the suggestion on free coupons, as you said publishing them among some friends would be the best idea

Also may I ask what is a good traffic conversion rate?
mine is 2.44 right now. what do you think of it? is it low, high or normal?

I advise you to wait for 30 days to pass to measure the traffic in order to evaluate more objectively.
Even so, to answer you, a 15% convertibility is an excellent value, the normal is 8%. This can be very relative depending on the course, instructor (since if you already have a community it is easier to make sales) the theme (by demand).
Something that helps a lot to sell is the home page.
