Why sometimes it seems that when the revenue of one course is increasing due to promotions, sales etc, the revenue of the other courses decrease. As if it were a mechanism of balance in revenue among several courses?

@Bella even though the autogenerated captions are not perfect, I'm really amazed by how accurate they are. In my courses I use a lot of scientific, less-known terms and the software is able to recognize most of them. Most people that work with audio trancription would not be able to recognize some that terms I use unless they are from the same area as me

Students rarely buy a course when Udemy is not doing a promotion, especially if the course is way more expensive than the price set when the course is in promotions, and even if they buy, they tend to ask for a refund once they know about the discount

Yes. I wish I started to launch my paid courses earlier (I launched in Aug 2020). Your spike in April matches exactly with the start of the pandemic and restriction measures, after WHO declared COVID-19 to be a global pandemic. From the second half of March onwards, people knew they would have to stay at home, thus the spike in sales in April, I imagine. Obviously, people couldn't just buy courses indefinitely (either by lack of money or need for new courses). On top of that, after a few months, some places started to reopen their businesses

@KatieBent Thank you for the answer. I also wonder if Udemy will turn 100% into a subscription system like Skillshare if the 'pilot study' performs well, by the end of the year. I'm worried about it, because I've started to gain traction just recently, and a 100% subscription system would have the potential to negatively affect my sales.

@KatieBent My main area is academic studies/science. Although this area doesn't have a high demand, if a course stands outs, it received more traffic (at least i think). Now with the traffic distributted by category, i think this will have a negative impact on most of my courses, because even if one of my courses in this area (science/academic studies) stands out, it won't receive as much traffic because of the share destined to the category as a hole...

Ontem, lancei um novo curso na plataforma, e hoje lancei um email promocional Após lançar o meu email recebi esse email confirmando que meu email promocional estava em processo de envio: Porém, várias horas se passaram e até agora nada. E além disso, na seção de 'anúncios', diz que eu ainda tenho 2 emails disponiveis para lançar no mês, como se eu nunca tivesse lançado esse email promocional que acabei de lançar.

Como funciona esse sistema de avaliações da Udemy? Tenho um curso cuja nota estava 4,64. Ele acabou de receber ontem uma nota 5 (5 estrelas) e ao invés de aumentar, a nota caiu pra 4,62. E isso aconteceu algumas vezes antes com esse curso. Ele tinha nota 4,9 e depois de receber uma nota 3,5 de aluno, mesmo recebendo outras notas 5, a nota geral só foi caindo. Por causa desse problema, o curso perdeu a tag de 'mais bem classificados' e agora vende menos do que vendia antes.
