I recommend you to take the comments in a positive way without worrying concerning any point. All of us hope to reach the needs of customers as much as we can. And keeping your course free for a long time, leads to have more bad reviews. You can give some of free coupons (30-50) coupons for people whom you know, to avoid the bad reviews as much as you can and they can advise you what you can change, this is really a perfect way. Absolutely, do it! Moroccan cooking should be popular. Moroccan food has a great reputation. If you can develop your course with high quality visuals it will work best. Please study other cooking courses for inspiration and examples. I particularly like Eleanor Hoh's course on wok cooking. I dont beleive we are competitors, I beleive we are all here to help each other, people will always gravitate to those they feel connected to and everyone is different. This is especially true in tech topics. One topic I teach recently had a major release that has required me to re-record the entire course from the ground up, and I'm probably going to spend the rest of this year just updating the courses I already have. The bright side is that being a Udemy tech instructor really forces you to stay up to date on current technology, and to learn it yourself well enough to teach it confidently. I'm a much better technologist as a teacher than I was as an industry practitioner, oddly enough. As a teacher, our knowledge must be broad, deep, and current all the time.

Hi @VardhhanBala786 I did actually look at your preview videos on one course. They were all powerpoint, very boring with words only in the ones I watched. Plus many had too many words to be able to read on a tiny device (remember many students consume courses on their mobile phones whilst commuting). This is very boring for students (in my opinion). Have you considered adding some live footage of yourself? People like to know who they are learning from. What I also noticed was your courses are all set at $24.99 without Udemy discounts. Thus to many students, they might not think they are getting a great bargain when they enrol. Try upping the base price to deepen the discount. How you can spice it up and make it more fun. People like to have fun whilst they are learning. What unique ways can you dream of to be creative with your subject? How can you engage in a more proactive way with your student friends? Think laterally - look at your other skills for ways to really make the course a rich juicy experience.

Similar to Trello, MeisterTask is a great free option, but has some more features at its core when it comes to auto-assignment when you transition a task to another column (It also has a minimal UI feel to it and just looks gorgeous). However, as a Jira Instructor, I have fallen in love with Jira's flexibility and simplicity while using Scrum/Kanban using both Jira classic and next-gen projects. It isn't free, but for $10/month at the time of this post you get more bang for your buck compared to most other paid offerings in the project management software space. Atlassian, the company that owns the Jira Software application, also acquired Trello and I can see the simplicity of Trello in the new Jira Next-Gen Cloud software. The #1 thing I like about Jira is the ability to report on team velocity. Even for personal projects such as building my online courses, it's been very helpful to plan my work out with more accuracy over time while juggling a busy full-time software release management job and family life.

What is your unique selling point @bcottington85 , how is your course going to draw me in from the crowded marketplace? What alternate ways of presenting your topic are you bringing to make you a go to pro? What literal and lateral steps have you taken to make your offering so compelling that it leaves the others looking amateurish? Good luck with your course. I have no experience in a crowded area however I have forged my way to success from the days when my subject had no keywords to search for my subject.

Right now, I want to teach the Evernote Platform. I mean, Evernote is much, much more than just an app. I have been a power user since 2013 and received my certification in it in 2016. I have used it professionally and personally and I still use it every day and in many different ways.

Your audio is very very low with lot of background noise. Even after putting udemy at max, my computer volume at max and my speakers volume at max, I have difficulty in listening. Audacity is great tool to overcome the issue of background noise (of contstant level though), and you can use comressor tool to somehow make the volume consistent and boost it too.

Hi @JamesBuchan286 , great that you are trying to do this. Whilst I have no idea what you are talking about I can tell you that if you do it well and you target your market it should sell as Udemy is a massive marketplace of diversity. You need to get far more creative at presenting - the same slide for 5.23 minutes was very boring. Plus rehearse more until you are sounding enthusiastic about your topic. It sounds like you are reading slowly from a script. Good luck with bringing your unique topic to life.
