[Fixed] Bug: Delayed Revenue Report & Promotional Emails Delivery

Hello instructors,

 

We’ve received several reports of the September Revenue Report not displaying as expected, as well as Promotional Emails and Educational Announcements not being sent out. We understand the importance of these features and apologize for any inconvenience caused. Our Engineering team is working diligently to resolve both issues.

 

Please continue to report any issues to our Instructor Support team or use this thread to document them. Once we have additional information, and/or once this is resolved, we will update this thread.

 

We appreciate your patience and cooperation as we work through this matter.

Hi @Bella ,

 

yes my email was delayed for 2 days and I got complaints from my customers  already because all prices are higher now ( than I promised in the email.)

Most things that break on Udemy is mostly inconveniences (revenue report, late payment, dashboard, ...).

 

When it is our VERY limited marketing capability within Udemy it is a big problem, it directly corelates to lost revenue for us. 

I am not sure what the fix here is, for my courses I will just try to avoid getting too close to the end of the month, because that sale is effectively lost for us.

Yes the only repair would be a third promo email for September .

Now whole udemy site is down.

Hi @Sijal_Ahmed, an incident was recently reported that may impact all users. Users are likely seeing/experiencing The search result page is down. 

 

Our team is currently working to restore normal performance levels.

For me the Announcements, Revenue, and Q&A pages are also down/not loading.

Thanks for the info, @Bella! September revenue is definitely off for me -- showing much lower than expected based on the number of enrollments. I also experienced the extreme slowness (and inability to view text lectures / articles) a few hours ago, but that seems to be better now.

Now I am observing this trend in revenue report (Check column for Date).

I think the issue has been resolved.

I can see the data matching as per dates.

Most instructors are hurting because of lower sales and this just stings a bit more.

 

Are there any plans to help us make up this revenue? Perhaps a "rev share holiday" where the rev share drops to 30% (udemy's cut) for the rest of the year.

I agree to suggestion from one of the instructors @SebiGloeckner about amending the loss of time in promotions and announcements. One more coupon and opportunity to send one more promotional announcement will greatly help.

It looks like that I have encountered Promotion email delay problem now. I have sent out an promotion email for my new course on Oct. 24 2022, but till now, it seems no one has received that mail yet! Could you help?

After I post my last message here, I went to the announcement page and duplicated that promotion message and sent it again, now it sent. People start to receive that promotion now. Problem solved. Thanks.

I have the same problem. I sent the Promotional Announcement twice, it's not getting sent to my students. And I'm trying to reach Udemy Support, but "Contact Us" button on the website doesn't work for some reason. How can I reach to the Support Team?
