March’s theme was Course Quality,  and we had a few discussions to cover best practices for instructors!


This post will cover the events and discussions that we believe you will enjoy engaging in related to course quality.



This month, we had a lot of engaging conversations that can help you strengthen your understanding of what’s to come for the holiday season as an instructor! Check out these subjects discussed in February:

How do you facilitate the relationship between learner and instructor? - Learn how other instructors keep up with the relationships with their learners.

What tools do you use to support learners online?- Do you have any tools to help support your students online? Post your answers in this thread.

How do you measure the effectiveness of your online teaching methods?- What KPIs do you use to identify the success of your teaching methods.



Course Quality Coffee Chat:

On March 15th, we invited you all to discuss course quality as instructors! 

There were a lot of questions and discussions that can be those who want to learn more about course quality.

In case you missed it, we had a couple of questions shared with the instructors to discuss further.

Here are the questions and responses had during the coffee chat:

  • What steps have you taken to improve your online course?

  • One step to take is to find yourself an excellent editor.
  • Utilize some good programs for editing such as Adobe Premier Pro or Camtasia
  • Quality also comes when you start to understand the tools that you are using. The more you become familiar with various software programs, the higher quality your courses will be.



  • Was there any feedback you received to improve your course quality?

  • A big piece of feedback received was to mix things up when you’re presenting your course material
  • Keep things entertaining for your students to keep them engaged.
  • Make sure that your audio is clear when recording your content. Background noise can be distracting for learners.

Thank you so much for the shout out and the encouragement! Well done to my fellow instructors 





One piece of advice that came out of the discussions that Ryan mentions in this post, is to do with knowing your software. I can back this too, because when working with new devices or tech, we can sometimes become distracted from our main goal and message. So it's important to invest time in getting to know the tools you use.
