Hi everyone,

It's been a few months since we last gave you an update on Personal Plan, our consumer subscription pilot. We've continued to test, research, and learn a lot about the way subscriptions fit into the Udemy marketplace. Our subscriptions team has put together an update in the Teaching Center to share some of what we've learned and where we're headed. Read on if you're curious about…

  • What makes subscribers different from purchasers
  • How we're planning to evolve marketing and learner guidance for Personal Plan
  • Some of the investments we plan to make to improve the instructor subscriptions experience

As usual, if you have questions or feedback on these updates, we'd love to hear from you here in the Community.

In the meanwhile, we have a question for you!

What's one way you motivate your audience to keep learning? This could be something you do with existing Udemy tools or something you wish you could do on Udemy but can't yet. We'll bring your answers back to the subscriptions team as they continue to build out the roadmap for Personal Plan.

It would be so much better if I could sell a personal subscription on Udemy rather than having a global subscription. Instructors would make much more money this way and you could still get all of the benefits of a subscription.

The global subscription should be axed because it makes Udemy uninvestable for top instructors.

I'm liking the revenue from the personal plan 😉
