Promotional e-mails not working ?

I sent a promotional e-mail out about an hour ago however I received no e-mail that my announcement is on its way.

Has anyone else had issues sending out promotions ?

I have seen a delay in the last few announcements I have sent out. But eventually I have received the email update.
