How much commission Udemy charge per course sell?
03-31-2024 04:02 PM
Hi @GondhaliSatish Happy Sunday! 😊
The revenue share will depend on how the student purchases the course, for example:
Sales occurring through instructor promotions: you will receive 97% of the revenue when the student purchases their content using your coupon or referral link.
Sales that do not occur through an instructor promotion: you will receive 37% of the revenue for any Udemy sales where no instructor coupon or course referral link was used.
These sales might occur after a user clicks on a Udemy advertisement or browses the Udemy marketplace for courses.
You can learn more about it in this article.
Best regards,

Keep in mind that additional revenue can be lost to the owner of the platform on which a course is sold. For example, if the course is purchased through the Apple store, you'll be paying Apple $6 before getting your 37% commission. That turns a $14.99 sale into only a $3.33 commission. For example, my students paid an average of $14.99 for 177 courses last month, but I made an average of $6.73 per course (an average of $9.49 on instructor promotional sales but only $5.03 on Udemy ad sales).
See you in the classroom,
---Brian
