Hi Zoli, What's the point of having Batman-themed posters in the background? I really don't get it, unless your course is about Hollywood movies (which would raise legal questions btw). Distracting backgrounds don't add any value and take attention away from the content you're delivering. Keep it simple and professional. Bottom line: Don't use copyrighted content in your clips.

Hello, in the case of music the best option is to buy a royalty free music license to create your project. There are different types of music licenses depending on the type of project. In the case of educational videos they are quite accessible economically.

May I ask further:- What has been the most effective platform to use to answer questions from students who take your course. If you get say even a small number like 200 students and each ask 2 questions, won't you be swarmed so I'm wondering how can it be better managed? (p.s. I have not published any courses yet)

It isn't necessary to market your course to 'succeed'. 'Success' is your own measure. You'll just potentially earn more if you market yourself. Many instructors earn an amount that they are content with sans self marketing. ...and those figures would be appealling to many.

Hi, There is nothing in Udemy policies that forbids you to do what you describe: actually, as you point out, the tool allows you to grant that permission. From a policy standpoint, how you manage this is entirely up to you. The only policy risk that many instructors have hit is an improper collaboration with other instructors to play Udemy system: besides that, you are free to manage your course team the way you see fit.

That is a technical glitch, I suppose the best thing you can do is to contact support by sending an email to instructorsupport@udemy.com

Once you have been verified (this only happens with your first course), you can submit your video for review if you are ready to publish. They will then review your course and either publish it or come back to you with things you have to improve or change (see in the Course Feedback menu of the course).

My 2 cents: never use the webcam as a microphone, there are too many variables, starting with the USB port (which is a hub!) and drivers updates. It also suffers from your PC CPU workload. As I said, too many variables. The best way is to ger a condenser microphone with phantom power supply. Amazon has a wide choice of quite cheap options. I use a BM-800 like this one: https://www.amazon.in/StarCart-Professional-Microphone-Adjustable-Suspension/dp/B07Z2TH6YP/ And the power supply, like this one: https://www.amazon.in/InnoGear-I229-Supply-Condenser-Microphones/dp/B00KAPGLQC/ Plug the mike into the mike input... stay away from USB ports 🙂
