Re: Leadership Update: A New Chapter
@GenefaMurph976 An incredible loss for us instructors and the Udemy leadership team. You’ve always given us a listening ear and helpful updates. Thank you so much for your commitment, transparency, and everything else you’ve done for this community, and all the best on your future journey.
Re: Leadership Update: A New Chapter
@ZaneVella Zane, it is good to hear from you and we all look forward to you continuing share insights with us. We need "straight-talk" communication. That is all we can ask.
Re: Leadership Update: A New Chapter
I too am devastated. For @ZaneVella, let me cry into the wilderness again. If you have not already, please read the following posts. Or if you have, perhaps there would be great value from reading them again. I notice from yesterday's earnings call that the Net Dollar Retention (NDR) is down to 93%. This is exactly what I predicted in my second post below. Given this prediction is coming true, may I suggest the reasons I predicted it are likely true as well?

Feb 19 2024 - Udemy Executives: Internal Strategy Contradiction & Measurement Check
Udemy cannot create success by riding their existing stable of horses into the ground. Udemy should have a near magical reputation among content creators. There should be a massive gravity of opportunity pulling in the very best talent from around the world. That is not the case. A successful future starts by understanding the past. I put my heart and soul into the above two posts to try to help.
I had a zoom call with former CEO Greg B after the first post above. I made several key points. Of course, that is all vanished in the wind now. I would love a call with Hugo if possible. An NDR looks to me like a plane with a glide path that is enormously concerning. Maybe it is time to consider the value of my posts.
Re: Leadership Update: A New Chapter
Since you said “taking action”, I have to ask: What actions are being taken?
Re: Leadership Update: A New Chapter
This has been such sad news and a total shock. It really feels like when a good friend moves away to a different country. You’ve been so down-to-earth, genuinely caring, and always actively listening. Your responsiveness and inclusiveness made a huge difference, @GenefaMurph976, it was a dream to have you at Udemy. You’ve earned a special place in our hearts, not only as a C-level executive but also as a real partner to instructors. It’s never easy to listen to so many different voices, but you did it with such grace. Wishing you all the best, luck, and joy in your next adventure, and I hope we can stay in touch.
