I have been thinking about how a lot of what we're experiencing is caused by the rise of AI. AI is everywhere.
Photoshop has AI in it. Google Search gives AI answers. ChatGPT has 800 million weekly users. Even Udemy has an AI assistant. AI is everywhere.
SO WHY WOULD SOMEONE TAKE A COURSE to learn something basic? Just ask AI.
"How to remove noise in Photoshop" is a solved problem. There's no need for a course on it. You simply ask Photoshop, and it will do it. Or Canva has that feature too.
Which leaves only the really advanced skills and skill mastery. Teaching skill mastery for $14.99 is a terrible business model, as well.
We're all collectively in a tough spot. Udemy hasn't figured the way out yet.
