Re: Big News! Udemy + Coursera Combination Announcement
@ZaneVella Dear Zane, Thank you for your response. I understand that this is a merger and acquisition, with the combined entity operating under Coursera, and that the finer details will naturally take time to emerge.
That said, one aspect would almost certainly have been considered as a precondition to the transaction….the future of the Udemy brand itself. While Coursera may have acquired Udemy, it is entirely possible for courses, offerings, or specific segments to continue operating under the Udemy brand, which has been built over many years and carries significant brand equity.
I would appreciate it if you could share any clarity, within permissible limits, on whether the Udemy brand is expected to continue in any form, or whether it will eventually be phased out post-integration.
This insight would go a long way in helping instructors understand the road ahead and plan accordingly. Quite frankly, it will also determine whether many of us are heading into the holiday season with reassurance or uncertainty. (It pains even to think that Udemy brand will cease to exist. I hope and pray that it is not true)
Thank you for your time and consideration. I look forward to your guidance.
Warm regards,

That's what I'm doing for my next year's income prediction for the tax office 😕
Re: Big News! Udemy + Coursera Combination Announcement
Everybody who's making courses in today's hottest topis or those that are always highly popular, everybody who makes way more than just a solid income, everyone whose courses don't look "normal" or "basic" and have been created with top notch technology and the newest tools integrated. Maybe all three of these or something like it.
If you're not part of the elite, you already know it 😉
Re: Big News! Udemy + Coursera Combination Announcement
Yea, but if Udemy is no more, who cares about outraged Udemy-customers? I had some courses on another platform and they also guaranteed lifetime access, then changed their pricing model and closed down all the content of instructors who did not want to pay up, so students couldn't access it anymore. No outcry, just a few mad reviews on the internet that most people never read …
