Re: Big News! Udemy + Coursera Combination Announcement

Re: MEGATHREAD: Black Friday Sales are Here!
1000%. I used to look forward to black friday as my BIGGEST month of any given year. This year it was the LOWEST amount I've made in ANY month on Udemy in the past 9 years despite me having MORE courses than any year in my history. Udemy has KILLED my ability to earn a fair i
Re: Big News! Udemy + Coursera Combination Announcement
@ZaneVella Dear Zane, Thank you for your response. I understand that this is a merger and acquisition, with the combined entity operating under Coursera, and that the finer details will naturally take time to emerge.
That said, one aspect would almost certainly have been considered as a precondition to the transaction….the future of the Udemy brand itself. While Coursera may have acquired Udemy, it is entirely possible for courses, offerings, or specific segments to continue operating under the Udemy brand, which has been built over many years and carries significant brand equity.
I would appreciate it if you could share any clarity, within permissible limits, on whether the Udemy brand is expected to continue in any form, or whether it will eventually be phased out post-integration.
This insight would go a long way in helping instructors understand the road ahead and plan accordingly. Quite frankly, it will also determine whether many of us are heading into the holiday season with reassurance or uncertainty. (It pains even to think that Udemy brand will cease to exist. I hope and pray that it is not true)
Thank you for your time and consideration. I look forward to your guidance.
Warm regards,
