  • Hi

Your system, laptop or desktop required for course creation depends on your course. First of all, it needs to handle whatever software etc. you are going to teach. Meaning as you said software testing, so it needs to do that efficiently.
Secondly, it depends on nature of course. You will need a machine capable of editing and rendering videos to be uploaded to Udemy. Your laptop or desktop should be able to render at 1080p or 1440p. Which is enough for Udemy course. I don't think you need to go 4K. So, apart from requirements of software you are going to teach, the rest is just video editing.
I would suggest going for a desktop because you would get much higher performance for lower cost, as compared to a laptop. However, it is your choice. Whatever you get, get something with at least 16 GBs of RAM, a dedicated video card with atleast 4 GB VRAM (Nvidia recommended, which I see you have issues with, but for video rendering Nvidia is better than AMD usually), at least 6th Intel or a Ryzen CPU with 6 cores. And storage is up to you. Other gadgets like graphic tablet or a camera etc. will depend on nature of course you are creating.

    Cheers
