If i use a person's quotation in my course slide (typing his quotation showing his name as well) will it become any licence / copyright issue ? Because, I would like to use that quotation, which is relevant to the subject i explain in my course.

do i need to seek approval from that person for referring his quotation ?

Please suggest.
