Hi all, my course has just been published, but the whole of module one is available for free. This is about 38 minutes of video. Is this normal? It seems a lot to be able to preview, and everything that I have read says it would just be 10 mins.

  • Mine are generally around 10 minutes, so that seems like a lot. However, how are the lectures broken down? In my experience, 10 minutes is required, so if your first lecture is 4 minutes and the next lecture is 34 minutes, it may have defaulted to those first two. Otherwise, you can likely turn off what you want from the lecture itself (there's a toggle to turn off the preview). I hope this helps.

Hi @NicolaSaunders, thank you for asking! 😊

To ensure students can preview content before enrolling, your first video lecture will automatically be included in the free preview.

Additionally, you’ll need to select more lectures to reach a total of at least 10 minutes of video content. You can enable the Free Preview option for any video lecture from the curriculum page.

You can learn more about it here.

Thank you for your help @RonCBetta

I guess it is not normal. You need to allow 10 minutes of the free video at least but the Intro video must be included in this free video access.

  • thank you everyone. Yes my first video is about 4mins and the second one is just under 40 mins. I've decided to split the second one into two parts. Thank you for your help.
