Refunds!!

How do we know students don't do the quizzes then ask for a refund? I got 3 in March but that course has a rating of 4.25!!! Why dozens of students are happy with it but only a few request a refund?????

  • How's it useless? You are experiencing refunds. I'm telling you that refunds on a course with a 4.2 rating shouldn't be surprising. Don't get mad at me. Do you want help or are you looking for validation?

    Saying "Why dozens of students are happy with it but only a few request a refund?????" when the course has a 4.25 rating means your statement isn't entirely accurate.

    You are looking at your 4.25 rating, thinking "hey, students really like this course, why are people refunding when so many people like the course?"

    In reality, the 4.25 rating means people have issues with the course. The 4.25 rating should be an indicator of something being wrong, which would typically explain the refunds.

    The premise of your question is wrong, but you got this apparently, so I'll just exit the convo. I only have 200,00 students and 8 years of experience with this, but hey, what do I know?

    I have no idea. I think Udemy doesn’t give every student a refund. I hate refunds but I try not to look at that stat. Students rarely refund my courses but it does happen from time to time. The worst thing for me is when a student leaves a very bad review and then requests a refund. If a student is no longer part of my courses and I cannot contact the student then I think the review should be removed.

    Anyways I did not answer your question. Just focus on making great courses and hopefully there will be less refunds.

    How do you know if a student leave a bad review AND request a refund? I'm wondering what are the criteria for a refund!!! My worries is people pay for the course copy it then publish it on different platforms.
