š£ Save Announcement Drafts in Your Instructor Dashboard! š£


Hi instructors,
Today weāre sharing an update to the Announcements page in your instructor dashboard!
Starting May 27, 2025, you can now draft both educational and promotional emails and save them for later without sending them immediately. This new feature is designed to give you more flexibility and control over your course communications.
How to Use the Drafts Feature
- Log in to your instructor dashboard and go to the Announcements page, which is housed in the Communication section in the left hand side menu.
- Click on the āComposeā button to start a new draft.
- Compose your message, add any necessary images or links, and format it to your liking.
- If youāre not ready to send the email yet, simply click on the āSave as Draftā button at the bottom of the page. Your announcement will be saved in the āDraftsā tab.
- When youāre ready to send or make changes, go to the āDraftsā section, click on the announcement youād like to edit and select āPreviewā to open your saved announcement.Ā
We believe this new feature will help you organise your communications with your students more effectively and enhance your teaching experience.

Thank you - there is one usability problem I am running into that I think most other people who have many courses will too - when I choose select all courses and try to go through it to remove from the list, that window is a little too small, and makes it harder to go through them faster.
Attaching screenshot - this window used to be bigger and more convenient to use. I wonder if the size of this window can also be increased?
Also, I don't know if it's a bug or a feature or me just being slow with it, but I saved something as a draft yesterday, and now I can't find any drafts :)

Any chance a scheduler/calendar is in the works too for it, so we can just make it, schedule, forget it.1 -
This is a great feature - and glad to see Udemy rolling out a lot of great features more quickly in the past. Like Thor said, scheduling announcements would make this feature 99x better⦠and I'm sure not difficult to add as an option. Hoping we can see this sooner than later!

Iām really sorry to hear your saved draft disappeared, that shouldnāt happen. Were you able to create another announcement and save it as a draft again in the meantime? The draft feature is awesome. I created a promotional draft the other night then I was able to slip out of bed early in the morning, hit the send button and climbed back into bed. :)
Next step, creation of a scheduled option to send the announcement automatically so I don't have to get out of bed. :)

Finally we can save our announcements⦠this is a great step forward! Now I'm able to prepare some announcement for the future without just storing it somewhere else, great :D
