do I have to show my face in the lectures

hello instructors, I am making my first course hope me luck but I don't know if I have to show my face in the videos because I prefer faceless content, I know that the video has to be 720p or 1080p and the audio should come out of both the left and right channels and the video should be 16:9

@Elwy_sayed - I have created over 50 Udemy courses and I have never shown my live face in any of them. I personally find it distracting to see someone's face when they are giving a lecture. I do however show my face during the promotional videos I create.

@Elwy_sayed The answer to your question is "no", you do not "have to" show your face. Is that an important question? Or should the question be a) what will help me sell the most number of courses; and b) what will help to build my brand as an instructor?

What matters is not how many courses you have published, but how much you have earned from students, and that is best demonstrated in the total number of reviews, not enrollments or the number of courses. Giving away free coupons produces almost no reviews and no money. Reviews correlate with dollars earned. Angela Yu has only seven courses and 983,898 reviews from 3.2 million students. She has made a lot of money.

You will find, if you do the research, that instructors who make money do show their face because that helps build a relationship with the student, creates trust, and follow on sales.
