I always want my students to know that I'm approachable and here to help. IT can be complex, and no one is expected to understand every little detail right away. That’s why I really encourage questions, whether it's through the course Q&A or a direct message. It’s has also helped me build a great rapport with some of my students.

Differentiate your course in a way that would be desired by your target students: Offer something that can't be found elsewhere (YouTube, ChatGPT), at least at the same level.

For me, the best teaching practice has been treating my students like close friends or family. I keep concepts simple and approachable, which makes learning feel less intimidating. I’ve also realized that just being yourself helps a lot, because it makes students feel more connected and engaged. This builds trust, and students often reach out for extra help or even projects beyond Udemy. In the process, I actually learn just as much as I teach, since their questions push me to keep growing in ways I never expected.
