Today, we’ll be rolling out a redesigned course experience to learners in a beta experiment, starting with 1% of all learners and gradually widening our experiment size over the next few months.
What is it?
This new course experience reimagines how learners engage with your courses, offering a more personalized, flexible, and interactive way to learn. It includes clearer progress tracking, improved navigation, and dynamic content formats that adapt to different learning preferences.
How will it work?
During this initial phase, the beta experiment will only include courses that contain lecture content (no quizzes, practice tests, or other activity types). This allows us to focus testing on the most popular learning format before expanding to other content types.
This beta experiment will help us understand how these course experience enhancements impact learner engagement and satisfaction. No action is required from you at this time. Your existing content remains the same and continues to perform as usual.
What's next?
We’ll share results and next steps once the beta experiment concludes. For Udemy Business and Personal Plan learners, the rollout will begin in early January and continue through Q1. We’ll also be rolling out the new course experience to instructors soon.
