I can’t complete the setup of my payment method.

Hello everyone,
I’m in the final stages of publishing my course, but I can’t complete the setup of my payment method.

I’m trying to connect my Udemy account to Payoneer, but I’m not receiving the SMS verification code. I’ve tried with my Antel (Uruguay) number and also with another Antel line, and neither receives the message. My phone provider has confirmed that international SMS are enabled and working correctly.

It seems that the issue might be on Payoneer’s side, as all other SMS messages arrive normally.
I tried reaching Payoneer’s support, but they don’t offer direct assistance for Uruguay, and I haven’t found any alternative verification method (like email or phone call).

I also considered using PayPal, but according to Udemy’s payment setup instructions, I would still need to link the PayPal account to Payoneer, which would cause the same problem again.

Could someone from the Udemy team please guide me, or could any instructors from Uruguay share how they’ve managed to receive payments successfully?
Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for your post, and I’m sorry to hear you’re experiencing issues while trying to set up Payoneer as your payment method on your Instructor account. Unfortunately, we are unable to complete the SMS verification process on our end for the code sent by Payoneer. You can contact Payoneer support by clicking here.

If Payoneer is not working for you at the moment, you can also try using PayPal instead, as it does not require Payoneer to be linked.

Once you’ve submitted your premium instructor application, you’ll be prompted to choose your payment method. On the Payout Settings page, select PayPal and click Log In. You’ll be redirected to PayPal to authenticate and link your account to Udemy. If you don’t have a PayPal account yet, you’ll also have the option to create one during the process.

This sounds frustrating! Since the issue is likely with Payoneer's SMS verification system for Antel lines in Uruguay, and Payoneer support is limited, your best immediate next step kaiser member services is to contact Udemy's Instructor Support directly.

Explain the Payoneer SMS failure with your Antel number and that the PayPal option requires Payoneer connection, asking them if there is an alternative verification method they can enable for your Payoneer connection, or if they have specific guidance for instructors in Uruguay.
