I joined Udemy because I enjoy teaching, and after taking a Udemy course from a very popular instructor, I realized I could do a better job (at least better then that specific instructor). The instructor explained things clearly, but their programming practices were quite poor. I know that's not nice to say, but it made me feel like if he can do it I can do it too. I did come to Udemy with very low expectations and I think that's a good thing. Anyways welcome and good luck!

Nah, not really. I was teaching at several schools/colleges and I created worksheets for pupils. Every so often I put them into a book. Occasionally I'd do a quick book if on holiday (tax advantages). One book was praised as I had so many business examples from Trinidad (which is not surprising as I was in Trinidad :-) Some books are just hundreds of questions and answers. They're all very dated now, mostly written in mid-1990s. Now if I'd had ChatGPT then, a book of multiple choice questions would probably take 30 minutes - but then even fewer would buy! The books with publishers (rather than self-published) are probably better, but again, nothing special.

I've been a Udemy instructor for over 11 years now, focusing on the areas of writing, self-publishing and marketing Amazon Kindle eBooks. I've written a couple dozen books, self-published well over 100 Amazon books (my wife, Melanie Jackson, is wonderfully prolific :-) and have 27 or so Udemy courses to my name.
