Are there any updates on the 720p processing issue for courses?

Hello, I would like to ask if there are any updates regarding the course quality changes that were previously mentioned. I had been following a post about this topic, but it seems to no longer be available, as I can’t find it anymore. Specifically, I’m referring to the situation where courses are being processed at 720p instead of 1080p or higher.

I understand that updates have been shared regarding ongoing improvements to the platform, and I appreciate that. However, I’ve been following this issue for a couple of weeks now and would like to know if there is any estimated timeline for when this might be resolved.

I also previously contacted support and asked directly through the video test, but I did not receive a response regarding this specific issue.

I recently launched my course, so I don’t have reviews yet, and out of my first 5 sales, I’ve had 1 refund. I understand this can be normal, but it does make me wonder whether it could be related to the current maximum video quality.

Additionally, I have received feedback from users who are interested in purchasing the course and have pointed out that the video quality on Udemy is not the best. I have this same course published on other platforms where it displays correctly in 2K, but here it still hasn’t been processed beyond 720p.

I understand the information that has been shared about the ongoing changes, I would just like to know if there are any updates on this matter :)

We are on the same page. I was waiting for this issue to be fixed, but I decided to launch my course. It’s also a 3D modeling software course. In the first video, I mentioned that all the videos are in 1080p, but Udemy is still processing them, so they may appear in 720p for now. I hope this works.

I think that if we receive bad reviews because of the video quality, they should be removed. It’s not fair because the reviews would not reflect the quality of our course, but rather the quality provided by the platform.

Let’s see what’s waiting for us.

The refund you had was not related to quality issues - it was about piracy. Every time I publish a course here, someone buys it, asks for a refund, and then pirates it.

You can check this website: https://sanet.lc - your course should be there. I have already contacted Udemy, but they haven’t taken any action.

There is a DMCA section at the bottom of that website where you can request the content to be removed.

You’re right I actually found my course on the first page which is quite discouraging. I guess piracy is something I can’t fully prevent. Since my course is available across multiple platforms, including some that don’t support streaming and only allow downloads, it’s unfortunately out of my control. I’ve been dealing with this issue for many years with my content, and sadly, there isn’t much that can be done about it.
