Video playback issue?

Hello

A student of mine complained that he can not play a specific video in one of my courses. I tested it and had no problem. I’ve also seen a general complaint on Reddit:

“Is anyone else having issues with Udemy videos right now? I've been trying to watch videos for the past hour and they're all corrupted (green screens broken image with digital distortion across them). Some videos, you can still hear the audio but others, that will start getting distorted and breaking, too.

These are videos that I have watched prior and there were no issues with. I also tried it on different devices and browsers, encountering the same issue. So I know it's not a device issue. I can't seem to find any helpful communication portal for Udemy to notify them.”

Does anyone know what can be done. I did tell the student to contact student support. However currently this is virtually impossible with Alex the bot.

Thanks for the tip. I could try to reupload the video. The entire course has exactly 800 videos. That might be too much. Hopefully Udemy will resolve this issue quickly and fire Alex the bot.

Many of my students experienced this, complaining to me. When I sent tickets, Udemy told me to have the students raise tickets themselves. I encountered the following problems:

* Videos would automatically stop when there were only 1-5 seconds left in the lesson.
* If a video automatically skipped to the next one, it would play indefinitely, with the screen remaining black.

I instructed students to clear their cache and try again, and it worked a few times.

Ultimately, I ran out of options and had to re-upload the affected videos. The number of affected videos even exceeded 100.
