Black screen when working video is uploaded

It doesn’t seem like Udemy is putting much effort into addressing this issue. I have a finished course waiting to be published where all of my videos are showing up as black screens with my voiceover. The only time the videos display correctly is when I view them in a mobile browser. I’ve seen others with the same issue that has gone on unresolved since March.

Support suggested I use a 16:9 format and although this was already the default format size, I edited each video to specify 16:9 m and re-uploaded each of them. Every time I resubmit, it’s rejected because of this bug. This is getting ridiculous.

Recently I updated two of my course lectures and the exact same thing happened. Students see a black screen and could hear my voice. I reported this to support and was told they could not reproduce the issue. Eventually I uploaded the two lectures to YouTube. It wouldn’t make sense to upload your entire course to YouTube though. I hope the issue is resolved soon. As far as my course goes I don’t know if the issue has ever been resolved or if students simply go to YouTube. Good luck!

the policy team responded with the exact same canned response that the course review did. This platform has the worst technical support I've ever experienced. I'm removing my course and will be offering it on a platform that actually works.

Support puts no effort into fixing this issue, I've only gotten canned responses. I'm deleting my course and finding a better platform to host it on.
