Im a new instructor, just made a mark and published a course on kubernetes interview helper.
In 24 hours, no comments, no views so far, am i doing anything wrong?
Tell me 5 things i need to do get organic engagement š
Be patient and wait for 15 days, you're not doing any wrong
It can take a few days for a new course to get indexed. That said it is tough to get traffic on your first course, as you don't have existing students you can announce the new course to. Udemy offers some guidance here. Wishing you success.
Thanks for your kind words
Hello Community,
Iām creating my first online course on Risk Management. Would you recommend a completely faceless presentation with voice-over narration, or is it better to include narration with a small talking-head video of the instructor on screen? Which approach tends to be more engaging and professional for an educational course?
Hi @NkeGya1 , I think both approaches can work well.
For an educational course, Iād focus first on clarity and learner engagement rather whether it is fully faceless or talking-head. A faceless format with strong narration, clean visuals, examples, and demonstrations can be very professional.
A small talking-head introduction can also help create a personal connection with learners, especially at the beginning of the course or in key sections.
Personally, Iād consider a hybrid approach: use the instructor on camera where personal connection adds value, and use screen recordings, graphics, demonstrations, or other visuals when they communicate the lesson better.
The most important thing is that the presentation supports the learning rather than distracting from it.
@GodwinNwaliIgwe Thanks for the input, greatly appreciated
