Distance of mouth to pop filter and filter to microphone
Hi everybody,
Can anybody who is expert in video making let me know as to what should be the ideal distance between your mouth and filter and then your pop filter and the microphone while recording the video lectures. Thanks and regards

Though distances are stated by some, it generally depends upon your type of mic, the pop filter and the distance of pop filter to mic.
I'd just spend time experimenting with plosives, words with D, G, and B.

Usually it is good if you keep the pop filter at about 5 cm from your mic and about 10 cm your mouth from your pop filter, but also, as Daniel said, you should make some tests and find out your perfect distances.

Stretch your thumb and little finger apart - as a rule of thumb, that's the distance you want to have between your mouth and the microphone. But it depends on the mic, the pop filter quality and the effect you want to create - closer to the mic and you will get a richer sound but more plosives, more sybilants and more mouth noises (clicks, licking, swallowing, etc); further away and you will get more 'room noise' and a weaker sound but fewer plosives, sybilants and mouth noises.
