i am just about 2 months old here

is it possible to have 50 students on landing page for 2 weeks over a course and 70 minutes of video and 40 students on landing page, zero minutes for another 2 weeks of the same month if there is no technical issues? i think something is wrong somewhere. just to think of if they would have be able to purchase my course. I had this experience

  • It is entirely possible unfortunately. New instructors are finding it increasingly difficult to break into the Udemy market, especially with marketplace sales down for various reasons. No idea what you teach (on the new platform I cannot seem to find where to check) but it can also be that you landed in a saturated topic with established instructors.

  • @JACKSON360 - I've definitely had courses that had a similar pattern… many views, but no purchases. To HofmeyrdeVo128's point you could just happen to be in a saturated area.

When I notice high views but low conversions I check things like the course description, thumb nail, intended learners etc to see what I can do to improve things. Maybe I'm missing keywords, or maybe the description isn't the best… that's about all I can control though.

You can also take a look at how you're marketing things. I still haven't really nailed this down, but sharing your course on facebook/linkedin/etc. can help those #'s.
