Video playback issue (Progress bar doesn't hide)
Video title and progress bar doesn't disappear after a while, when playing videos, and I have tried refreshing the website, changing the browser, changed the settings and restarted my pc, still it doesn't seem to work, and it irritates me a lot.

Hi @Bessy, I am still facing this issue, is there any update on the resolution for the bug, please help with any reference link to check on the status of the bug resolution as I am still facing this issue and the "Contact us" bot (Alex) isn't helpful at all in trying to report this issue along with the playback issue which is occurring when trying to start a video using spacebar.
Hi @guruvishal ,
Did you get an answer from support?
In my case it hides part of the content of the videos. This is really painful.
same problem and more.when I start the course playing 1st video play and pausing works well. then on the 2nd video, when I press the Space bar to pause, the video in the background starts playing and when I press the Space bar again, double video-playing voices mix each other until I refresh the page and play again. What a website in 2024 :)
Yes, I am facing the same issue. I tried it on a different browser, but the issue persists.

I have the same issue. I addition to this.. when I use spacebar to pause and resume the video.. ii starts 2 videos together. One from the location I paused. Another from beginning
I seem to have the same issues on Firefox. Doubled sound and the progress bar not hiding during playback.
Been a few days now and all of a sudden this is happening. I'm using Win 11. I have tested this on Edge, Opera, Chrome, and Firefox. Problem still persists. Opened a support ticket, never heard back. Clearing internet cache doesn't do anything. Happens with all my courses that I've downloaded and on multiple accounts.
Hey guys. While they are working on a fix, you can mitigate the issue by right clicking on the parts of the video that are in the way (progress bar, top banner..) and use "inspect element." Then, delete that highlighted element from the html code that pops up. You can still use keys to interact with the video or click on the video to pause it without the progress bar.
I have just experienced triple sound. Once I pause the main video, using space bar, two other streams of audio continue playing.
I looked on Reddit's r/Udemy subreddit. It appears that Udemy have been having video playback problems for at least 9 years. Not the same issue of course but 9 years.
For a company whose revenue comes from marketing, selling and hosting videos you might think a basic working video player might be a priority.
It's almost the end of 2024 and I can't use the spacebar to pause a video because it opens up a sidebar and plays two different audio tracks.
The video player controls no longer disappear, they constantly cover the video I'm trying to watch, sometimes at crucial points meaning I can't see the code.
We know it's possible to have a working video player because lots of other sites have them.
9 years, at least. Let that sink in.
Hi @guruvishal I apologize for any trouble caused.
This could potentially be a bug since there is another report similar to this.
