As we approach the end of the year, it’s the perfect time to reflect on the incredible journey of course creation. Whether you’ve created one course or many, we’re sure you’ve faced challenges, learned new skills, and experienced those exciting moments when your courses came to life.

How do you organize your course creation process?

Creating a course is no small task, and everyone has their own unique approach. Sometimes, hearing about others’ processes can inspire fresh ideas.

Hi Marina,

I have several courses published on Udemy and I am in the process of creating another course right now.

You ask a very good question. Everyone is different and has their own way of doing things.

For me, this is my process.

Select what you are going to teach. Whatever you select, you must be very knowledgeable on the subject.

I will then create my course.

• Give the course a Title that is easily searched on the internet.
• Add content to your landing page such as course image, promo video etc. With your description, ensure there are relevant keywords and phrases.
• Give it a more detailed subtitle. Make sure there are some keywords and phrases that will find you in a Web search.
• Add your sections. Select relevant headings. Place them in the order they should be played
• Add your lessons to each section. This does not have to be done all at once.
• Create your PowerPoints if you are using them.
• Record your videos ensuring the quality meets the required standard. All your video's must be edited. I use the NCH software suite, but there are many others out there.
• Create some quizzes and practical labs to keep your students busy.
• You may wish to add resources such as PDF documents.

Always double check everything, especially your spelling and grammar. If you do all this, you will be just fine.
