Reflecting on Your First Course: What Would You Do Differently in the Creation Process?

Hi instructors,
Let’s take a trip down memory lane! When you published your first course, there may be things you would do differently now. Maybe you’d change how you structured your lessons, add more interactive elements, adjust your teaching style, or focus on a different topic altogether.
Therefore, we want to know:
Thinking back to your first course, what would you approach differently in the course creation process?
Let’s hear your stories, and feel free to share any advice for new instructors who are just starting their journeys!

Get a better microphone, not a blue yeti. Learn a bit more about editing and I wouldn't zoom in so much. Give the course a different name. Originally it was iOS 16 programming and I've been updating the name every year to reflect the latest iOS version. When recording never show the background of my operating system since two years later users might think that my course is not up-to-date since I was working on such an old system.
I'd also create red boxes to call out code to help the student follow what I'm doing. I learned most of the above from constructive criticism from students.
