Issues with Video Editing for My Udemy Course – Need Advice!!

Hey everyone,

I’m currently working on a Udemy course, and I’ve been running into some issues with video editing. I’m trying to make my course look polished, but the editing software I’ve been using seems to struggle with larger video files, especially when I’m trying to add effects or make adjustments.

I’ve heard CapCut could be a good option for editing on a PC, but I’m a bit hesitant. Has anyone here used it for creating course videos? How does it handle larger files and does it work well for long video sessions?

Any recommendations or tips would be really helpful!

I usually just use DaVinci resolve free version and it seems to always get the job done. It could very well be the software that you are using, or the pc itself. Depending on what kind of FX and transitions you are using, it can really tax the CPU/GPU and bog down a machine if it doesn't have enough horsepower like ram, cores, etc.

If you have never tried Resolve, there is a free version that gives you a bunch of tools and is more than enough for putting together online courses.

I was using Wondershare but in 2021 I bought Movavi with some packs. It works very well for larger files. It might take longer time based on the configuration of your PC but it works very well.
I am still fiddling with Davinci before I start editing my courses. Every app has it's own learning curve but after using it for a while, you will get used to it.

I just use the NCH suite for all my recording and editing tasks. User friendly and inexpensive

Hello,

DaVinci resolve is the best option for video editing. Also it is far better than Capcut. I have been using Capcut for shorts and other videos but for Udemy I wont prefer it.

So better to go for it.
