Keep your goals simple, bite-size goals. For example, yes, your goal might be to release a new course on X topic. But when I write that goal down, I write down all the little goals that will get me to the release of the new course. This helps me stay focused and allows for tweaks along the way without getting frustrated.

Hi
I feel like having goals that one actually completes is important. For example completing a course section. If one stops midway then it kind of breaks the flow. Additionally prioritizing goals is important. For instance perhaps creating a new course is at higher priority then updating an existing course. Finally one thing that really helps is dedicating specifics days for specific tasks. For example on Thursday I do course revisions be it content-wise or audio/video. Any other day I don't touch revisions. That way I do feel an urgency to get something done on Thursday and my mind is free to do other things the rest of the week. For me dedicating the entire week to one course is wasteful because then I feel like I have too much time and end up doing next to nothing. So I like to restrict myself in order to have a sense of urgency. For example I might dedicate two specific days a week to a new course and outside of those days I'll do something else. Of course one must not be too rigid. It's great if I work on a new course everyday.
Finally I used to set hard deadlines for publishing a course. It does make me work hard however it is also stressful, I might release a course that I'm not 100% satisfied with and the course creation process is less fun.
The goals should be concrete too. For example goals such as "create a successful course" or make "10k a month selling courses" or "create 10 courses in 6 months" are all too broad and meaningless. However creating a section of course on animations in Figma is very specific, hence attainable.
That's it!
Happy Course Creation!
