Question about subtitles

It appears I have English subtitles for my whole course.

My question is, if I have subtitles generated in another language, say Spanish, does that replace the English subtitles, or does that mean that students now have 2 choices to choose from–both English and Spanish?

If you add captions in another language, students will have two options available. The captions in the other language will not replace or remove the automatically generated ones, and it will look like this example:
