How Does Course Rating Update Over Time?

Hi everyone,

I recently received a negative review that lowered my course rating to 4.3. Since then, I’ve gotten multiple 5-star reviews, but the overall rating is still stuck at 4.3.

I was wondering how Udemy updates the course rating. Does it take time to reflect new reviews, or is there a specific algorithm that weighs older reviews more heavily?

Any insights would be appreciated!
