How to increase learners in Udemy course
Create an amazing course. The second thing is share course coupons on social media or get attention via a blog, YouTube, etc. I’ve only had success with creating a decent course, but not much success on the second part. In any case don’t share free coupons. It just adds students to the course that don’t value and don’t watch the course lectures.
Hi! Here are a few tips to help increase learners on Udemy:
Create an Engaging Promo Video – make it short, clear, and focus on how learners will benefit.
Use SEO-Optimized Descriptions for each video/lecture– Include relevant keywords so your course is easily discoverable.
Encourage your first students to leave reviews.
Promote Outside Udemy – share your course on LinkedIn, Facebook groups, and relevant communities.
Engage with Students – respond to questions and comments promptly to boost engagement and ratings.
Participate in Udemy Promotions – opt into Udemy’s deals and sales for more visibility.
And do not use free access coupons - these will get you students that bring no value to your courses. Most of them will never ever start your course, and if they do, they tend to leave poor reviews/ratings.
@MANSUKHSATA602 - It's really pretty easy. Create a course covering a topic not many people have covered yet and make it very good. The reality is that there are very few significant topics which don't already have 20+ courses created for it. What almost all new instructors learn the hard way is that it is VERY difficult for a new instructor to make any real money on Udemy, without it taking maybe a year or more. Competition is brutal and Udemy as a whole is struggling. They are not yet profitable (they lost ~$85M in 2024).
I could say it's tough to make money on Udemy now and next!
