Hello all:
I am about to publish my first course on Udemy but I am wondering which payment method I should use. Paypal world well but I believes it takes a big cut on money transfer !
Any advice is welcomed :-)
BTW, I am located in France.
I have the funds sent directly to my bank, which works best for me. What would your bank charge? Is a bank an option for you?
Thanks for the info. I was not aware that Udemy could send payments straight to my bank, which accept payments from abroad.
Hi @Sturm,
I hope you are doing well 😊. Just jumping in to clarify: Direct deposit is currently available only for instructors based in the U.S. As you are based in France, you can choose between PayPal, Payoneer, and Tipalti (in selected countries).
Hi @MarinaT , thanks for the information. So my questions still stands: Which payment method should I use?
Experiences with payment providers can vary, and you might receive different recommendations depending on who you ask. PayPal and Payoneer are well-established platforms, while Tipalti is relatively new, having been introduced just a month ago. As a new instructor, my suggestion would be to start with any of these options initially. You can always switch providers later as your earnings grow and your needs evolve.
Previously Payonner was good in fees transfer. But know the fees are the same between PayPal and payoneer. For new Tipalti we still not have experience with it.
Thanks for the replies, folks.
