Does it matter what we call the 'sections' in a course?

Should we call the course sections 'modules' or 'sections' or anything we like? I see that each video is referred to as a Lesson.

The terminology used for course segments—be it 'modules', 'sections', or 'lessons'—is flexible and can be tailored to fit your course's structure and your learners' preferences. Consistency in naming conventions enhances clarity and navigation within the course. For instance, 'modules' often denote larger units encompassing multiple 'lessons', while 'sections' might refer to subdivisions within a 'lesson'. Aligning your terminology with common educational practices can also aid learner familiarity and engagement.

Agreed, I would have to say that for me the most important thing is the logical process for the course. As long as they are named in a manner that makes sense to the average learner, you should be fine.
