Confused on Audio/Video with PowerPoints

Hi! I'm new to this so forgive a basic question. I've recorded audio along with my PowerPoints in Camtasia.

My confusion is when uploading my course it shows video as a separate option and then pdf so:

  1. am I to convert my powerpoint slides to a pdf?
  2. am I to record audio separately? and if yes, in what format?

AND

3. am I to submit audio/video separately and Udemy combines it somehow (is this what a Mash Up is)?

Thank you for your kind responses for the new kid. :)

    Hello @DocJean_2025 -

When you export from Camtasia to video, MP4 format, it should include both the video and audio from your screen recording. You will then upload that file to your course on Udemy.

Udemy won't do any editing/combining of separate files.

  • No, you need not to upload audio and video separately. I suggest you please use any video editing app. I recommend you to use windows 11 clipchamp. I personally use this as option as "share screen and face simultaneously". It will help you to make videos more engaging content. So, that viewers not bored with your content. When you will complete the recording and save the file. You need to import and select this MP4 file as a single file. In same MP4 file all the things will be there. Such as your face, screen, audio and video. It seems like you are live and making this video publicly. This app is free of- course. Just try once, it will really help you.

If my suggestions really helped you. Please like my comment.

    Thank you
