Yes, it is possible to create any class you wish that has demand in the market.

Cooking channels / courses are popular but you need to do that research.
Your research should be based on
    1) The type of course that are on different platforms
    2) Look for their demand based on the number of people enrolled
    3) What will make a difference with your course
    4) Look for any of those classes/courses that are FREE that will compete with your lessons

Always ask yourself a question "What will make them enroll in your courses compared to a course on …………?"

After all this, if you are ready, you will certainly know the content of your courses/classes.

To answer your question "Will people join?", that is a BIG question for everyone (especially marketing).
That's the reason I mentioned about the research. Please make your informed decision based on your research.

To get started, I’d recommend checking out Udemy’s official course on how to create a course:

🔗 How to Create an Online Course on Udemy

This course will guide you through everything you need to know, from structuring your lessons to recording and publishing your content. Additionally, here are a few key steps to help you get started:

    1. Define Your Course Structure – Plan out the dishes you want to teach and break them into lessons (e.g., dosa, sambar, chutneys).
    2. Set Up Your Filming Space – Ensure you have good lighting and clear audio so students can easily follow along.
    3. Create Engaging Content – Demonstrate each recipe step-by-step and provide useful tips along the way.
    4. Publish and Promote – Once your course is live, share it with your network and engage with students in the Q&A section.

If you're passionate about teaching South Indian cooking, there will definitely be students interested in learning from you. Wishing you the best of luck with your course!

    Best,
    Todd
