Udemy Business Program and quality Flexibility

Hi Everyone, Background: I am in the process of creating my first course. My only goal is to be included in the Udemy Business Program. My course is unique in that I will use real students of mine to participate in the process. The course is English language training. One of the main focuses of the course is accent reduction. So it's practically necessary for non native speakers participate and model what is being taught (and when they make mistakes the viewers learn from their mistakes). It's a very useful and engaging way for viewers to improve. However I think it may clash with Udemy Biz requirements (at least according to Grok). It seems that pauses and stutters (inherent when going through the process of trying to produce phrases in a different language, are extremely undesirable and may be a reason for udemy to reject being included in the biz program.
Question: Is Udemy flexible in their requirements of quality (ums ahss stutters pauses) if they understand that it's part of the course. I would hate to cut out the mistakes my students make because their problems are also usually the viewers problems.
Thank you to anyone who can offer some guidance

Hi @rpd123, Welcome to the community. How exciting to have you here!😊
I'd encourage you to take a look at our official and free Udemy courses, which will help you get started on Udemy.
Regarding the inclusion of the courses, first, make sure to opt into the Udemy Business Content Subscription marketing program on the Premium Instructor Application to make your courses eligible for inclusion.
Udemy Business uses various criteria to determine which courses are added to the collection. Instructors must first opt into the Udemy Business program for their courses to be considered. You can learn more here.
Regarding your question about including your students' (ums ahss stutters pauses), please send an email to our Trust and Safety team at policy@udemy.com, who will provide you with more information on whether you can include this in your content.
I hope this helps,
Best regards,

I'm pretty sure there is no automated process where Udemy searches for broken speech in your course. The curation process for UB relies primarily on the ratings you receive from students while your course is in the marketplace, and whether there is a need for your course from their business clients.
It's the latter you should be more concerned with. There are over 300 English language courses in Udemy already, and over 100 of them are rated over 4.5. It's not enough to teach what you know and do it well, you have to teach what's needed.
You can explore these statistics for yourself in your instructor dashboard, under Insights / Marketplace Insights. Perhaps a different, or more specific topic would be a better bet.

Thanks for your reply. My methods and presentation are quite unique. I'm sure about that. But are you saying that the course itself must have a 4.5 star rating to be considered for Biz? That may be a stupid question but my understanding of how to qualify was a little different.

You don't need a 4.5 rating, I'm just saying you are competing with 100+ existing courses teaching English that already have a 4.5 or better rating. Udemy Business does not accept courses simply because they are of high quality, they must also fill an unmet demand.
Opting into UB and producing a quality course does not mean your course will be included in UB. It also has to cover a topic they need more coverage in. A topic that already has 100 good courses to pick from does not meet that definition.0
