Number of students vs. Number of ratings ? How to change sorting ?

I am learning from some high rated courses in my sector.
The course profile typically shows:
4.9 ***** (299 ratings) 1,238 students

Is it possible to sort the course list with the number of students purchasing the course, rather than number of reviews which I thought is less important?

Does the course profile above mean 1238 students purchased that course, and 299 of them left a review? Thank you.

Typically the number of reviews is about 25% of the number of students. This is assuming you aren't giving away free coupons. So, yes. Those numbers are pretty normal.
